I don't really know why the MRT5 is turbocharged, or the RAC for that matter. I know they both are in real life, but in LFS, they both make so little boost it seems silly. The turbos take ages to spool, to, so they're only adding high end horsepower. I'd think getting rid of the turbo, saving the weight, and changing the cam timing would make more sense, but I'm not an engineer, so what do I know
Actually, relations between Americans and Canadians are very friendly. At least from what I've seen. Our LFS team is all Americans and Canadians, and country doesn't make one bit of difference. I'm not sure about the English and the French, never been to either one, but I've heard that they're not the biggest fans of one another...
I personally love it. It's actually pretty easy to catch slides, because it's so immediate in it's responses. It makes my next favorite cars, the LXs and the Raceabout, feel like barges, hehe.
Simple things, like clutch and transmission settings being car specific, for example, if you have a Logi G25, H-Pattern shifting with no autoclutch in road cars, stick sequential shifting with auto clutch in the GTR cars, as well as the FOX and possibly the F08, and paddle shifting with auto clutch in the BF1. Hopefully the wheel/hands settings will also be car specific, for all the people who drive with the wheel off, but have to turn it on for the formula cars.
Or, it would be cool if you could just connect to LFSW in single player mode, so you could upload you PBs and see the WRs, I think that makes more sense than a multiplayer pause option.
That's happened to me before, but it only happens when I'm loading a new track environment, say going from Aston to Kyoto or something. This shouldn't be your problem, though, because all you've got is blackwood, weird.
That's what I don't like about these launch coasters that they're building. Sure they're big and fast, but it's just out and back. I like corners, loops, rolls, all the stuff that traditional lift coasters have, plus I really like rides that last longer than a minute. My favorite roller coaster is the Kumba at Busch Gardens in Tampa, Florida, although I've never been to Cedar Point, still need to get out there one of these days....
So what's the deal, your car is actually controlling the sim, based on it's Dyno outputs? That would be really really cool, virtual street racing with real cars.
Actually, at least from what I've seen, many new motherboards don't have them, mine doesn't, neither do any of our computers, save an old HP we have in the basement.
Nothing really wrong with gameports, though, USB just replaced them. I've read some people actually prefer the feel of a Gameport wheel, too.
I actually think it's really handy to have, I'm often just grabbing a quick race before I have to leave the house, so having a clock right there is quite nice
Jeez guys, give the guy a break. First you imply that he's cracking the game, then you imply that he's iDi. Now, accusing him of being iDi may have been sarcastic, I hope it was, and I'm sorry if you meant it that way. This forum really is getting rough on demo racers. I'm the first to say there are some pretty dumb ones that come on there that have obviously cracked the game, but this is just a normal guy, posting his texture mod, and he gets jumped on.
1998 Chrysler Concorde. It's pretty boring, but actually quicker than most people expect. I had just washed and waxed it and was having fun taking pictures :P
One question for Ayrton, why would you ever intentionally hit someone, in LFS or in real life. That's the second time you've said that when giving reasons for crashing
Reading that site, I immediately thought that it was probably written by someone from England. And yes, it does dig at Americans, as well as Brits, and I can sit and laugh at that. No, I'm not going to freak out and cry that someone insulted my country or it's residents, I found it quite funny. I think everybody needs to step back and laugh at themselves once in a while, it's good for your health
As for this site, the whole thing is written in a very sarcastic manner, which (at least I think) is a very British thing. I personally love sarcasm, and have a very sarcastic sense of humor, which is probably why I picked up on it right away. It's very well written, in my opinion, and has been added to my favorites list
By the way, just wondering, not trying to offend anyone, but what do all you Brits call 1,000,000,000 then, if not one billion? Do you just call it a thousand million?
I just got another HDD so I could install XP. It turns out that Vista doesn't yet recognize the DFP either, so as a gamer, you're kind of screwed. But oh well, I'm guessing there will be support for all this soon enough
I wonder if Scawen could tell us if it's easy for him to patch this or not, since I (probably rather stupidly) put Vista on my LFS rig, I need to know if I need to put XP back on or not.
I really do like Vista a lot, but I can't live without LFS
